It's a balmy 15 degrees in the Copper Country today, and I am currently sitting in the Laundromat, waiting to blankets too big for the home washer to dry. Didn't bother with hat or scarf, just grabbed the coat and gloves. After that, then groceries, home, and more chores ( Read more... )

Calibre is a free and very easy to use programme. I use it to download onto the Nook and it works like a charm. But Nooks are also drag and drop objects, so you can just hook them up to your PC and transfer files to them directly as well.

I was going to suggest the same program, it also has plugins so you can remove DRMS, so if you buy a book from amazon, you can strip the drm, convert it to the reader of your choice (apparently nook in sabrebabes case, sony in mine) and then transfer it to your reader all in one handy program. I've got an old sony reader so it's done through a usb cord connecting the reader and the device, but I imagine it's not that different with something that has wifi.

I will admit, I didn't know it could remove DRMSs. Can you tell me where it does that? ;)
