Thanks to Mr. seferin for sending me this.

OK, as a college student I refused to join the Greek system because it just seemed silly and old fashioned to me. It was just not my scene.

That being said, I give props to these guys for making sure that Phelps and his intolerant goons felt unwelcome at the University of Chicago. Rock on, boys.

To be fair though U of C frats are more likely to be full of less dickheads than say the U of I here in Illinois. U of C is almost the ivy league.

I dunno. I hear the Ivy League has more than it's fair share of dickheads as well.

It's not the Ivy League factor... it's the geek factor.

My grandmother went to U of C about a million years ago, and she liked to repeat an exchange she'd heard between two students, one asking the other if he (or she, I can't remember) was going to a dance that night. The answer was, "Hell, no -- I'd rather stay home and read Plato."

And while I also did not do the Greek thing in college some of my best friends are former Frat Boys.
