While the issue itself is both depressing and infuriating, this part made me cackle:

abstinence from sexual activity, if used consistently and correctly,

I'm just imagining some kid, all "But I was abstinent for EIGHT WHOLE HOURS yesterday, what do you mean it didn't keep me from getting pregnant?" XD

Yep. That's exactly the problem. Not to mention, what if the kid decides never to get married or isn't allowed to because they aren't straight? And why oh why do people think that being married protects you from disease and heartbreak???? What century do these people fucking live in?
