What they didn't show is the 12 officers attacked by people in the rally. After the attacks the officers fired rubber bullets into the crowd, they warned them to dispurse else they would be fired upon, but people are bitching because they warned them in English, not Spanish.
Honestly, this is America and English is spoken. If you come to a country, anywhere in the world, and don't bother learning the language, it's your problem when the authorities tell you to do somthing and you suffer the repercussions of not doing it.
Another point, and this is actually valid, is these people are not United States citizens, not here on Visas, and therefore are not protected under US Law.
Citizenship is not hard. My grandfather came over from Germany, during WWII, and still got citizenship in this country. if someone from an enemy country can come here, and gain citizenship while we were at war with their home country, anyone can do it if they just applied themselves.

I know someone who was at that rally. You've got it distorted as well. The problem started with some anarchists who were not part of the rally. They weren't even in the crowd. Yet some of the police fired rubber bullets into the crowd. And after seeing the beating of a cameracrew person who could not even remotely be mistaken for a rioter. You're hard pressed to make justifications for the ill advised use of force.

That'll show them.

"The lesson boys and girls, learn english or you'll be subject to a beating. That'll show them. Beautifully put. Unless of course you are an english speaking journalist. Then we'll just beat you anyway."
If you were in a crowd in Germany that started to get unruly and the Police said in German to disperse and you didn't, and they fired upon you, is that the Police's problem or yours?
Common sense and logic dictates if you plan on living in a country, learn the language, maybe even the culture. There are Africans living here that grew up in huts made out of shit, literally, no education, no knowledge of American culture, yet they come over, learn the language and assimilate just fine into the culture. Most of them start businesses and contribute immensely to the American economy. So I am not going to fill sorry for anyone who lives close enough to this country to have an idea about the culture and language and are just too damned lazy to learn it.

That hypothetical would work if it matched the situation as it did in your example but it didn't.
It all fell apart when thery beat the camera woman. She was with Fox 11.
This has nothing to do with Hispanics or non Hispanics. Why do people always have to make it a Hispanic or Mexican thing when that is not the case at all?
Technically you could make this a Mexican thing as they crossed illegally into this country from Mexico into Texas. Our borders are not secure and people like these guys can easily get in. people in this country just want people who immigrate to be DOCUMENTED so we can stop people like these from coming in, hiding for years, and attacking this country.
And the more people protest the fact that they should be able to enter and live and work in this country UNDOCUMENTED, the more the people of this country get pissed off. Had these protest for occured occured BEFORE 911 things would have been a whole lot different. But as it stands Americans are concerned about anyone here illegally now and are firmly against it.
You can have 12 million people marching in the streets against becoming a legal citizen and a case like this pop up and those here legally only think of this case.
I don't care what the situation, you do not fire into a crowd that contains children. A rubber bullet though designed to be non-lethal still can kill an adult, and can sure as hell kill a child.
No matter what the situation, the police used excessive force. Tear gas is more than enough to disrupt anything.
I smell a troll. Don't dare think you can come on my blog and throw your testosterone poisoned "I'm a soldier, I know everything" bullshit around. We are not impressed. Buh bye!

When Hispanic immigrants, legal or illegal start plotting to attack a US military base, this particular argument will be vaild.
All this tells me is that people do not ask enough questions and that our society is complacent.
