Greetings... :)suaracahayaAugust 26 2009, 13:21:50 UTC
Hello Alwyn, I am Nur from Indonesia. It's my first year in Japan - actually, also in living abroad. Nice to meet you here :) Are you still living at Tsukuba right now? Please add me as your friend, if you don't mind. Thank you!
Hi! I'm not always sure where my comments get posted or if the intended person sees them, so I responded to something you said on the expats japan "bug" entry and I'm putting the same comment on your page(?) too. Wakatta

Wow! I just saw on this page (wherever it is!?) that you are in Fukushima too! I taught at the Fukushima English Center for a year (I recommend it) and then got hired at the private "Catholic" high school, Skaura no Seibo, where I had an odd experience and didn't stay. But they are nice people too, and pay very well. I think you need an M.S., though! Where are you working?
Sorry for taking so long to reply. Things have been a bit busy for the past week or so.
I work at a few of the public high schools in Fukushima-shi (sorry, won't list them here for privacy issues--I can send the names if you're interested). I have some of the more colorful schools. And by colorful I mean that they're supposed to be the worst public schools in the city. If you get over the fact that 99% of the students don't like English, they aren't bad kids.
I know a few people who are working at FEC right now. It seems like a decent place.
And I'm actually from Indy, kind of. I was born there but moved to Fort Wayne when I was a few years old. The internet is a small world.
This is kinda random, but I saw you in lol_anaz and liked your icon so I clicked on your profile :OO My family is from Indiana, and I lived in Japan with my boyfriend who's an ALT for a bit myself. :DDD Wanna be friends?
I normally don't find someone so similar to me, but just about everything in your bio relates to me as well (I still drink coffee, though ._.). Wanna be friends?
PS: The first line & the line about loving cats "more than anyone should" stood out to me the most. Last night Animal Planet had "The Cutest Cat of 2010" on, & I nearly died @_@

And I might have to look for that show. I'm in severe kitty withdrawal.
