That's the problem with the kudos button, it makes people feel like they don't have to write an actual comment because they already said "I like your story." just by clicking. On the other hand, people who would never leave comments anyway may be leaving kudoses because it's so easy. Kudosi?
I know I've gone back and kudosed things I read-and-liked much earlier -- often things I replied to on the PWKM anonly. Mostly because I am more likely to click on something to read if it has a lot of kudos, so I get click-happy.
Also it's funny how different bits of fandom comment/kudos differently -- the Vorkosiverse fics all have big chatty discussions in the comments and I've joined in, but I am kind of never likely to be the first to comment on anything. Shy Sarah is shy. So I stealthkudos. Or bookmark/rec if it's in a fandom I don't look at often.
