I give up, too many people on my FL are raving about Torchwood. As I don't actually watch much TV, I have no idea what it's about or what channel it's even on. What's the deal?

It's a BBC show, spin off from Dr. Who. Rather cheesy and sexy but kind of like x-files in that it's earth based rather than space travel... Really good. BBC America is showing the second season now, on Saturday nights, almost in cync with the UK. First season is available on DVD. It's pretty fun.

If you think you want to get into it (but don't have interest in watching the new Dr. Who that lead into it, I actually created a "Torchwood without Dr Who" primer at one point for Ty and one of my coworkers :)
