What is with this weather? It feels like I'm back in Pullman! There are 45mph wind gusts and the temperature is barely getting above freezing! The only thing is it's super sunny! I wouldn't mind the cold so much if it weren't for the damned wind

lol @ guys :P just swap "guys" for "aliens".. then it will sound weird and you'll stop saying "guys".. :P

isn't letting know about the learning objectives something like "we're going to do X and Y today blablabla"

Yes it is exactly that but I have to use the language of learning objectives and let them know what they are even though the kids could care less. They just want to get going on whatever the activity is.
