Oftentimes people don’t leave comments or feedback because they’re not sure what to say. They don’t want to remark on things the author may not have meant for them to notice, or the overall impression is so strong that it drowns out specifics. Below is a list of questions to consider for what I’ve already written, and let me know your thoughts.

5. For vids, I'd say do another like Girl Next Door. I love that vid so very much.
For fic? Hmm. You know I love Chance Encounters. I haven't read that pairing in years!
7. I think of you on a level with rebelliousrose. Best Helo fic writers I know.
11. I think you are a good writer and particularly good at plot. When I think of you I think of that. I actually think in my last fic, I tried to do a multiple plot thing like you did with Scenes from a Liberation. You did that so well!
(I still mostly know BSG things. Hope the response is still useful, though!)

Chance Encounters was the very first "smut" I ever wrote and one of my first BSG fics, too.
Your comment about Girl Next Door makes me want to do some vidding again for the first time in months.
And what you say here about my writing in #11... *tackle hug* That means so much to me. ♥

I support all vidding efforts! You've rarely made a vid I didn't watch. Usually multiple times. :-)
About number 11, I didn't realize I was trying that until I wrote the above comment. But I don't have the skill that you do! You are really at home with longer stories. :-)

Interlude was the first THG fic I ever posted and even though I was writing TW and it sprang from a scene in TW, I didn't have a good handle on the characters yet, Annie especially, so that probably explains most of the characterization issues you find there. I knew I finally had a handle on Annie when she attacked Finnick's uncle Rick, because that came out of left field but just felt right. :P

3: I'll go with the completely selfish answer of "I wish you wrote more Person of Interest fic."
5. As much as I like your fic with Helo, I really love it when you tackle the very minor characters. Fleshing out Doc Cottle, or Racetrack, etc. Mags in HG, for a more recent example. (While I like your Finnick and Annie, I *love* what you've done with Mags. Love it that a character who could be super-ignored by fandom* gets a voice and history of her own.)
Aaaand I need to go grade papers, so I'll stop there, but this was an interesting exercise. :)
*Since I'm not reading much HG fic, I don't know if there's a plethora of Mags stories or not... but your particular backstory for her is awesome, so...

Minor characters are the best to write in terms of getting to do your own thing within the background of the canon setting. Finnick is arguably a main character in the THG 'verse, but there was so little given in canon for Annie and Mags that I just fell in love with writing them, and Happy Endings is so underappreciated in this fandom that it makes me very happy that you love it. :D There isn't much Mags fic that I've seen, and the only other one that I've noticed is millari's Sit With Me, Muchacho, which I think you'll also like.
Thank you for answering some of these questions! ♥
