Yes given his experience with getting Sharon pregnant you're right, he would be careful.

We've seen several instances where TPTB could have addressed the issue (especially in regard to Starbuck), but they didn't. So, yeah, I've always been under the impression that birth control is military issue and isn't left to the foibles of the human memory (remembering to use a condom, remembering to take a pill). Mandatory shots would work...

Hmmm I take your point I was thinking that if Helo is going to lose it so far and totally screw up to the point that:

1. he fraks someone who's not his soulmate
2. he fraks someone who said such awful things about his soulmate

I suspect the last thing on his mind would be contraception? That's just my view.. And also while the rest of the population is probably out there trying to have babies, I suspect that all military women would be on some form of long-term contraception?

Hi Sbabe, I pretty much echo Koala's and Raincity Girls comments. I can hear Helo's voice in my head during this. I love the tension in the piece. I could visualize every scene. Maybe I tend to be over romantic when it comes to Sharon/Helo but the only thing I just can't buy (Sorry) is that Helo would sleep with somebody else while Sharon is locked up in a cell. I think he wouldn't be able to live with him self afterwards, that's just my opinion.

Yah! Glad to see it go live. Love the story. Now we just need more Racetrack onscreen so a vid can be made. :)

Oh, yessssss! Please! I really need to vid that song from which I stole the lyrics at the beginning of this, but with the amount and nature of Racetrack's clips thus far? It'd look pretty damn stupid. ;)

Hi Sbabe-I have to echo what Bob said. I just can't see Helo sleeping with another woman while Sharon is locked in a cell, pregnant with his child, and still suffering form the trauma of a rape.

I think he's too decent for that. But as far as the smut-Way to go! I love that stuff! And it was very well done. I just don't want anyone coming between my Helo and Boomie. :)

I loved it a lot! I really like the fact that your Racetrack is not a softened Racetrack, she is still tactless and a bit annoying and I love it! And Helo is HELO and totally adorable. I love Starbuck telling Racetrack!! And Gaeta... Oh! I love your fics!

Me too... most of the people seem to dislike Racetrack, but I have a soft spot for characters like her ;) ... It imdb I've seen that she's going to bee in episodes until the finale, we'll see what happens in them!

BTW, have you seen the Helo in the new Scar promo pics?? I know I'm all about Lee most of the time... but Helo's arms are so enjoyable as well ;)

And *guh* on the new Helo pics. I think I actually squealed when I saw the stick of a lollipop sticking out of that mouth. And the freckles on his shoulders! *swoons*

I loved the scene with them all playing cards. So Helo, so Starbuck, so Racetrack....just excellent characterization all the way around. And I liked that you kept Mags in character, but gave her an internal voice that belied her hardass exterior.

It's really tough to get these two in bed without killing Sharon, and outside of that, I think you found the best possible option. I'm not convinced that Helo would give in to racetrack, but the story was much more than just that aspect, and you pulled it off amazingly well. :D

Jeff, I just realized that I hadn't responded to this yet. *rolls eyes at self*

I'm so glad you liked it, since it *is* at odds with Helo/Sharon. And I just couldn't kill Sharon. I'd much rather see future angst for all *living* parties involved than kill off one of my beloved characters. :)
