Monty Python
1. This is not actually a fandom, but more of an interest. Monty Python is goofy in the extreme, which is one of the things I like about them. How can you not love the Ministry of Silly Walks? Or the Knights Who Say Ni?
2. Already moved on. ;)
3. That one’s easy: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
4. No participation whatsoever.
5. Maybe more people should appreciate the group’s humor, but I don’t know about the fandom.
The Hunger Games
1. I got into this fandom because of the compelling story and the characters. OMG, the CHARACTERS! They’ve become so real to me. I missed Farscape and BSG so much that’s it’s wonderful to be in an active fandom again. And I’ve made new friends, too, like the awesome and amazing azelmaroark, who I feel like I’ve known forever, and savepureness, who I’m only starting to get to know.
2. Eventually, I’ll move on. But that won’t be for a long time, given that the second movie of four isn’t out yet and I have another book to remix once I’m done with my remix of Catching Fire. ;)
3. My favorite book is Catching Fire. Favorite movie is yet to be determined.
4. I don’t participate so much in the discussions yet, but definitely in the fic category and I’ll be getting more into the vidding and graphics with more HD material to work with.
5. Do I think more people should get into this fandom? Holy frak YES! I need more people to squee with and obsess over details with and egg me on toward more fic and vids.
The X-Files
1. This was my first fandom, before I’d ever even heard of fandom or knew there was an internet playground. And it was the relationship of Mulder and Scully (and Scully in general) that pulled me in. I was a shipper before I ever knew what a shipper was.
2. I’ve already moved on, although I do still check out fics and vids when they pop up.
3. Small Potatoes (s4), Triangle (s6), Detour (s5), Home (s4), Quagmire (s3), and the Anasazi arc (s2 & 3) are some of my favorites. (I may have to rewatch this whole series, since I haven’t seen any of it since it aired.)
4. Beyond reading fic and watching vids, I don’t participate in fandom.
5. I don’t really see a big need for more people in X-Files fandom. It’s another one whose ship has sailed.
