I still have one more drabble (which may grow to be more of a ficlet) for
chaila43 for
help_nz, but I need to rewatch a couple of s2 episodes for that. However, here are 3 drabbles that all follow on
the ones I posted the other day:
Blood roared in her ears and Riley wanted desperately to run, as far and as fast as she could, and never look back. Instead, she smiled. “No one could resist that smile, sweetheart,” Jesse tells her as she tucks a stray strand of hair behind Riley’s ear. “Hi, Mom!” She waved at the tall, hard woman who was John’s mother. She’d never heard of Sarah Connor before Jesse brought her here, but since they’d been in this time, Jesse had taught her many things, especially to be wary of Sarah Connor, for she was the greatest danger to their plan.

Cameron studied Riley. The girl bore no resemblance to either John or Sarah, so it was highly unlikely that Sarah Connor was her mother, as her greeting indicated. Cameron took a step to the left for a clearer view, initiating a visual analysis. The girl was breathing rapidly, her gaze darting back and forth between John and Sarah. Cameron wanted to run a full body scan - temperature, respiration, volume and content of perspiration - because her visual analysis indicated that the girl was hiding something. Sarah caught Cameron’s attention - she was aware of it, too. They would have to caution John.

“John Connor doesn’t have a sister.”
Jesse’s words echoed inside Riley’s skull. Both John and his mother acted otherwise; they should know, right?
Riley stared at Cameron, who stood beside the Connor Jeep, herself staring at the entrance to the school. Riley had to admit, the only thing Cameron had in common with John physically was dark brown hair; she had nothing in common with Sarah except the cold stare they both adopted whenever they looked at Riley. But where Sarah wanted Riley to leave John alone, Cameron seemed to want her gone permanently. Cameron was seriously one creepy chick.

And don't forget, I'm offering to write a fic of at least 1,000 words
here for
help_japan. Bidding is open until March 26 (this coming Saturday). I'm not technically offering a fic in the TSCC fandom, but if you're interested in bidding and want to run an idea by me before you bid, if it sounds like something I can work with, then go for it -- the fandoms I listed are simply the ones that I feel are most likely to catch a spark.
