I read this when you originally posted it, and loved it. It's always a treat to read a Kara/Kacey interaction that might have happened in canon, off-camera. This one's so great because it's from Kacey's POV, very unusual. I love that she still thinks of Kara.

My favorite line, though, might be this: she slams into something both soft and hard. What a perfect description of Kara Thrace.

Thank you so much! I was actually kind of surprised that I wrote it in Kacey's POV, 'cause I know nothing about children, but that's how it wanted to be written.

Yeah. The comm seems to have died. The mod hasn't posted to LJ since the day after the last challenge was posted. I used my second skip that week, too. I feel bad for the authors who wrote fics and they never got posted. It sucks. :(
