Oh this is lovely. I like the way John tries to look out for her and instead, she ends up taking care of him. I like his confidence in her and the conversation at the end. Very nice dear!

Thank you! John wanting to rescue her and Riley ending up being the one to rescue him was the idea that finally sparked the rest of the fic. I'm glad that worked for you.

oh yay! I love this to little bits. Riley is perfect, her fragility and her strength, which John knows how to reach because he knows her. And she rescues him because she is tougher than she knows.
