kindreds_expats (aka Across the Salt people) - the Helo/Athena vid for that first (and, you know, last) vid challenge at Kindreds is about 80% finished. I may even have a final draft ready for beta by the weekend, since I had an epiphany this morning of what clips to use for the last 20 seconds (out of about 50 remaining).

I've had a general-Cylons vid in my head to "Magic" ever since the album came out. /random

If you need a back-up beta, let me know. I don't really know vidding terminology, so the phrasing of everything might be convoluted and weird, but I'd be happy to help.

I like that song so much that if she decides she'd rather have the other vid (which I just noticed I forgot to add the name of the song to the post *headdesk*), I'll probably vid it to something else, anyway. It would work really well for Cylons. :)

Thanks for volunteering. Terminology doesn't matter a bit. All that matters is another set of eyes that haven't been staring at the same clips over and over again. :D

I'd be happy to beta a vid for you. I've only done it once (for Chamalla) but I'm pretty good at catching technical errors since I tend to obsess over them in my own vids:)

Aw, crap. I forgot to tell you that my laptop doesn't read avi files. Anytime I've tried to install the codec, my comp. gets all wonky. I don't suppose you have it saved in any other format?

I don't, but if you install the VLC player (free from http://www.videolan.org), it plays just about anything, including avi, so you don't have to mess with codecs.
