Helo is a good buddy/marriage counsellor/negotiator with alien races of doubtful friendliness.

I like how he doesn't take Leoben too seriously. Actually, come to think of it, I think Kara may be the only person on hte show who pays any attention to Leoben's ramblings. His fellow Cylons sure don't.

That's one of the things I like most about Leoben, no one takes him seriously and he just doesn't care. He just goes on doing his thing.

Whoa.

Does that make Leoben the Cylon equivalent of Helo???

He's a bit more psychotic than Helo, and less naively convinced that goshdarnit, everybody can just get along if they really want to. But yeah, now you mention it, the two of them seem to serve similar functions in their respective societies.
