Hee, I have mad love for all the characters, so I got nothin' on that front, but for songs... *ponders*

Check out the songs 'the other side' and 'propane nightmares' by Pendulum. Good rhythms etc.. Imogen Heap/ Have you got it in you?, Broken Boy Soldier/ The Raconteurs (would work as a character study of John or Derek?) are others that come immediately to mind.

Hehehe. Pendulum are a bit left field, but they're my current fic!fodder/action playlist thing (that made *no* sense, but moving on).

Have you got any rough ideas for character/ships and so on? *is curious*

Hmm. Broken Boy Soldier seems to fit John pretty well, but, well, I don't really WANT to vid John. :P

I have a song that could work for Derek-Cameron (loathing, not love), but the regs say they want a character study. I've also got a song that would work for Derek... And then there's another one that would work for Kyle, but there's not nearly enough SCC footage of him and I don't want to mix tv and movies.

I'll have to see if I can find any of the tunes you mentioned.

I spent a long time going through my song list and finding some, but *whimper*... I could easily double/triple/quadruple this suggestion.

My problem is I write to "theme" music so nearly every fic I write has a "theme song". *headdesk*

Anyway!

Yellowcard - Light Up the Sky (Sarah)

Flobots - No Handlebars (John) - I, personally, would love you forever if you could pull this off. I've seen the most AMAZING Dr. Who vid (and I don't even watch Dr. Who), but it's so so so apt for T:SCC, too.

ETA: I see that John isn't one of the options this time, but I'm just going to let this seed stay where it is. And hope. ;)

None of the others, though. Hmm. I do have enough Pepsi points to download 4 songs, though...

I love No Handlebars, but I don't know if I could pull that one off. There's a good BSG vid to that and an EXCELLENT Iron Man vid to it, but they raise the bar pretty high.

And just because John doesn't speak to me in general doesn't mean that I won't hear a song be instantly on fire to vid it for John. That happened to me with Lee Adama and he's one of the least likely characters of any show to be my POV character. (Not that I didn't get distracted from making that vid by other shiny vid ideas... :P)

I wish I could figure out vidding, but I'm not sure I have teh patience for it. Have you seen the Iron Man vid to Strong by Kanye West? I love that one, too.

Vidding is fun. In fact, right now at least, I'm much more into vidding than writing.
