Not as big a fan of American television as you are, but I'm in full support of the WGA. The AMPTP has been throwing its weight around and stonewalling because it knows the writers need the money more than they do, because they get a lot less of it. Bastards.

Though, I'm kind of suspicious of that statistic; I've heard the average is more like 44K.
