I finally got on an NTV (Non-tactical Vehicle) patrol a few days ago after working non-stop in a hot and sweaty and don't forget smelly humvee. Let me tell you when it's 120 in the shade an NTV makes a lot of sense. Since the last time I've written here I've been enrolled in a Combat LifeSaver course. Which gives me slightly more medical background than the average troop, but not as much as say a ParaJumper. Look it up. What I learned was the proper way to clean, dress, and bandage a wound. How to handle a sucking chest wound, and how to fix it.
