Wonderful work. Their pain is so heartbreaking...

I believe that there's blame to go around for both of them (Clark had a right to his Secret but he misread Lex at times) so I like to see stories where both the boys try and heal things. And this looks like a great start! Wonderful Lexian POV. :)
Glad you picked up this prompt and pairing for the Challenge. ;)

And yes, absolutely! It strikes me as a classic case of disproportionate responses and escalation of hostilities.
I had fun writing from Lex's perspective. A far cry from my Aftermath (SR) Lex, for sure! :p

I'll put your entry into the Master List soon. Would you prefer I wait until the second part is posted?

Agree 100%!

Very! :)
SV Lex is wonderfully complex. I'm afraid I don't find much fascination with movie Lex. He's so one-note (sometimes cartoonish), though I have to say that the scene in which Clark is beaten in SR is powerful. Such hatred there! I'm doubtful that SV Lex could ever have done that.

It does strike me that SV and SR Lex are 2 totally different characters. I like SR Lex for his absolute fanaticism and his approach to their 'rivalry' as if it's all some giant game of chess among the gods. He's a megalomaniac of the worst kind. But I love the subtleties of SV Lex, too. He's much more in-tune with the comics Lex, IMO.
And no, I can't see SV Lex *ever* beating Clark like that, either. That's pure hatred. O_o
