The boys' gifts were perfect for each other. Poor Bruce, still worrying over that Armani remark. I don't blame him for his melancholy, either. Things could be much, much worse, but their situation isn't ideal, either. *pets Bruce*
That journal is a perfect gift! Clark's a writer like us, and he needs to scribble! :)
Clark is probably happier right now because he's a Christmas Kid. ;)
The cat and her kitties are cute! :)

I think Bruce needs a lot of love here; he's so out of his element. It's making him reevaluate everything!
Glad you liked their gifts to each other. Clark will be putting the journal to good use for certain. ^_^ And he's absolutely ecstatic about Christmas. Guess who got a Radio Flyer one year as a kid? Mm-hmm. Clark! ^_~
And I just couldn't resist the kitties. :p My cat goddess muse was demanding on that one, and my Clark muse was more than happy to accommodate her.
Thanks again!

The gifts they give each other are perfect and perfectly in character, and you really get across just how much they mean to their recipients. This is an emotional chapter, and it's simply stupendous.

And I'm ecstatic that the gifts worked out right. These boys just love each other so much. :p

You're the first person to mention the dream. I wanted to give Bruce that little reminder of home and the Mission. :p
Thanks so much!!

I love how they named them, it was perfect.
But he knows his eyes are betraying him, and watching his lover so easily giving up the one thing still tying him to his identity makes his gut constrict.
The use of the costumes is so wonderfully symbolic, giving up those last ties...
After the amazing gift Clark has given him, how can he hope to compete?
Heh,. that's such a Bruce touch, to involuntarily think of gift-giving as a competition. :)

And ecstatic that you mentioned the costume symbolism. ^_^ I worked hard on that one. Bruce is struggling to maintain his identity, while Clark is so ready to give his away, giving, in essence, *himself* to Bruce and to their kitties.
Bruce would certainly do that, too, thinking of their gift exchange as a competition. Especially here, where he doesn't have his wealth to fall back on. *huggles him* He'll learn soon enough that Clark is just happy to have him in his bed and by his side. ^_^
Thanks so much!! :D
