As strange as some people would maybe consider this exchange, this doesn't seem unreasonable for Zod at all. If anyone on Krypton were likely to buck convention, it would be him. I think that's what makes him an interesting character, trying to figure out what set him on the course that he locks onto.

Yay! I'm so glad this one worked, bb. :) I knew it'd be out there, and I totally tweaked canon to serve my nefarious purposes, but I'm relieved that it made sense for Zod's past. I enjoyed putting him at odds with convention, and having that be the tipping point for him. It *almost* might make someone feel a little bad for him. ^_~
