This was amazing. That isn't even an accurate word for it. The way you made them both full of human-character and so ship-like at the same time...it was astounding.

deciding to proceed with the usual caution but letting her shields down just a little as a show of good faith.

Lines like that really sold it.

That's enough to pull Enterprise along with her, her entire frame shivering with overload, waves of release coursing through her EPS to light up every inch of her skin with the brilliant flare of completion.

It was hot too, the way you weaved these lines in there, selling them as what they are and yet making this sexy and lust-filled. And the way you used lines like, "punch it" (which is such a Serenity thing to say) and showed their characters (and I kept thinking, "Well, that's why that ship is captained by James T. Kirk/Mal Reynolds") - I just LOVED this.

I'm so glad the characterizations came through like I intended. I really was reaching for their respective captains' personalities a bit, and tried to go as deep into their respective canons as I could for all the details. So glad all that worked out right. :D
