SO SATISFYING! And I loved Kirk's internal musings, comparing the original timeline he learned about from Spock Prime's mind meld with this new timeline that jumps him even further ahead of the flock in getting his command.

Pike's stern expression softened into a grin again. “Good. Now that that's settled, you might as well get out of here and get to work. You're gonna be a busy man between now and, oh, the rest of your career.”
