Chapter 6: In which past crushes present…

“What are you doing?” Jun asked and hugged Aiba from behind while the other was busy checking out his closet.
“I just… looking for something that looks good on me…” Aiba muttered without realizing how close his flatmate was to him.
“Oh, so you’ll have a date?” the dark haired man teased him putting his chin on Aiba’s shoulder.
Aiba blushed.
“Well… you can say so… maybe…” Aiba stole a glance form the other. “What do you suggest?”
“Hmm… let me see…” Jun wondered and pushed Aiba away to be able to see the clothes properly. “You meet that guy from the other day, right?” Jun asked while he looked through the shirts. “Where will you go?”
“Yeah… and his place…” Aiba said innocently.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit too fast?” Jun asked with a dirty smirk and looked at Aiba over his shoulder who was now sitting on his bed waiting for Jun picks out whatever outfit he finds.
“Too fast? What do you mean by it? I just promised him a dinner to thank him taking me to the hospital the other day… And it’s not that I’ve never been at his place before…” Aiba shrugged. “…I even slept there the other day” he added with innocent eyes.
“Wow! You really don’t waste your time!” Jun laughed and he knew that what Aiba is talking about is not what he is, just the other guy didn’t know it; and this was what made it that funny! “Okay, wear these!”
Jun gave Aiba a wide necked, long sleeved white shirt, a dark blue vest, a pair of jeans and a baby blue scarf.
“Arigatou, Jun-pon!” Aiba beamed at him.
The model just nodded and left the room to let Aiba get dressed.
“How is it?” Aiba asked when he left his room.
Jun got up from the couch and walk around him with critical glances.
“Hmm…” he set the scarf and rolled up his sleeves. “Now, it’s perfect!” he said pleased.
“Ja… I’m off!” Aiba smiled.
Jun walked him to the door but when he wanted to step out, he grabbed his forearm to pull him back.
“Have fun…” he whispered in his ear and kissed his neck before letting go.

It already passed noon when Aiba reached Sho’s apartment. He did grocery shopping on his way there so now he held the shopping bag in his hand with all the ingredients he’ll need. He felt strangely excited when he rang the bell.
It took a few moments till the door was opened by a very frustrated Sho. But his face soften as soon as he saw Aiba. He had his mobile on his ear so he just gestured Aiba to come in. aiba smiled shyly but Sho was already on his way back to the living room.
“No!” Sho shouted in the phone making Aiba jump a bit. “I wrote down everything exactly! I didn’t write all those information about that site that you buy an other ten miles away! Get that or forget it! I won’t give you my idea and my name if you can’t even do this properly! Call him and turn it back or you can forget this project!...”
And it went like this for long minutes while Sho paced back and forth in the flat.
Aiba started to feel pity whoever Sho was talk to. When he saw that Sho won’t finish it anytime soon, he decided to look around in the living room. That’s true that he was here once already but he wasn’t in mood of discovering then.
On the small table in front of the couch, there was Sho’s laptop and next to it a lot of various papers with blueprints and designs. On the screen there was a big building’s 3D picture was turning round and round. Aiba just bent down to take a closer look at it when he heard Sho’s footsteps coming back. He quickly stood up and looked at Sho a bit blushed.
“Ehm… if you have to work, I can come back some other time when you’re free…” Aiba said but as he stood there, dressed nicely, with the shopping bag in hand, it would be cruel to kick him out. And Sho didn’t even planned something like this.
“No! I really have this day off just my coworkers tend to forget it” Sho laughed and pocketed his mobile.
“Ah… okay…” Aiba smiled relieved. “So… you’re an architect?” he asked and looked at the blueprints again. “Are you working on this now?”
A frightened look appeared in Sho’s eyes and he rushed to the table to close the laptop and collect the papers.
“Yeah… I am; but it’s not work related stuff…” he said to Aiba while put the papers in a folder.
“Then what?” Aiba asked curious and cocked his head to the side.
“An… old promise… to someone I cared for a lot…” Sho said looking at Aiba in the eyes.
“Oh…” Aiba felt himself blushing at Sho’s glance. “Ehm… are you hungry? Cause I can start cooking…” he smiled adorably and pointed at the shopping bag.
“I thought you would never ask” Sho grinned. “What will we eat?” he asked when they headed to the kitchen.
“Lasagne… I hope, you like it…” Aiba smiled.
Sho just grinned as an answer.

“Maximum umai!” Sho praised Aiba’s cooking.
“Hontou? Yokatta!” Aiba smiled and started to eat as well.
“Since you cooked, I’ll do the dishes” Sho suggested when they finished eating. “Feel yourself at home… and after I finished, I’ll take you home if you want me…” he added putting the plates in the sink.
Aiba nodded and wondered off the other room.
Sho (though he always hate do the dishes) started to do it happily. Though none of them said it aloud but it was more a date then a ‘thank you taking me to the hospital’ dinner. And it made Sho incredibly happy. Even Aiba didn’t remember their childhood, the promise they made, and maybe he never will; they still can build a new, bright future starting now…

“Nee, Aiba-chan!” Sho called the younger boy.
It was a beautiful summer night, they were laying in Sho’s backyard looking at the stars. They wanted to go camping but their parents didn’t allow that. So they have to do it at the back of Sho’s hause. But they didn’t complain.
“Nani?” Aiba asked curious and turned his head toward Sho.
“When I grew up, you’ll be my wife!” the older announced.
“Eeeh? But I’m not a girl, Sho-chan!” Aiba said pouting but his eyes shined happily.
“That doesn’t matter. I’ll still marry you” Sho waved it off, then he leant on his elbow and bent above Aiba. “Even if you’re not a girl, you’re much prettier than any of them in our school” he added smiling; he caressed his face and kissed him. “But if you don’t want to…” he said doubtfully and sat up.
“Yes!” Aiba quickly sat up too and put his cheek on Sho’s chest hugging his waist. “I only want to be your… wife…” he said totally blushed and looked up at Sho.
“Yakusoku?” Sho asked smiling.
“Un!” Aiba nodded and hooked their pinky fingers.
“Aishiteru, Masaki” Sho murmured into the younger boy’s soft locks and held him tighter.

“Nan da kore?”
Aiba’s voice dragged Sho out of their memories.
“What is what?” he asked back turning confused to the younger.
“What is this?” Aiba emphasized and showed him what was in his hand.
It was the puppy decorated frame what Aiba gave to Sho, and in it, there was their childhood photo where they were hugging each other while smiling in the camera.
“It’s me on the picture… and the other… is you, right?” Aiba asked; in his voice, there were anger, confusion and disappointment. “What’s the meaning of this? This never happened! If it did, then I should remember it too, right?... Or is this some kind of joke? Because if it is, then I have to tell you that it really is not funny!” Aiba shouted with teary eyes.
“I… I can… explain it…” Sho stuttered.
He totally forgot about the picture which was on his nightstand in his bedroom.
“Explain it?... How?”
“I… Aiba-chan, please… just give me a chance to…” Sho begged but Aiba wasn’t listening to him.
“No! Don’t ‘Aiba-chan’ to me!... I thought you’re a nice person but I must have been wrong… I hate you!” Aiba cried throwing the frame at Sho and run out.
Sho tried to catch the frame but his hands was slippery from the dishwashing so it slipped through his fingers, falling down.
The glass in the frame was broken. Again…

A/N: don't kill me, pretty please! *hides if anyone would want to trow anything at her* I just thought it went too smooth till this... (smooth... right, poor Sho-chan get no answers just more questions in every chapter...) anyway, if you kill me, I can't make it up between them, and we don't want that, right?^^ *still hides*
