The layouts listed below provide an option in the Customize Journal Style page for you to change the way dates are displayed. Some layouts provide a list of choices to select from, while others enable you to build your own date string from the system variables. A list of these variables can be found in this tutorial. For example, the date format string %%month%% %%dayord%%, %%yyyy%% will display the date as "October 15th, 2004", while the date format string %%yyyy%%.%%mm%%.%%dd%% will display the date as "2004.10.15".
