Gap & Sidebar? [solved]

Jul 31, 2009 01:37

I've got two problems that hopefully can be solved quickly. I'm fairly new to LJ so I really have no idea what I'm doing lol. Thanks to any help I can get!

Any help is greatly appreciated! )

1. Look, your .headerimage (in HEADER block) contains parameter height: 300px;, while your header picture is 249px high. So you should put this number instead of 300px.

2. Can't tell anything about the sidebar, the code doesn't disable it. Check out your settings once again.

Oh right! I did crop the image! Thanks for that.

So I've changed it; the gap's definitely smaller, but still there.

Now, that's because of the two parameters:

1) you have your #content with padding: 10px 10px 0 0;. Change it to padding: 0px 10px 0 0;.

2) Add to .title the parameter margin-top: -10px;. Are you happy now?:)

Wow you have no idea how much of a lifesaver you are! Thanks so much! Definitely will play around with those (including the sidebar tips). Sorry if I sounded demanding or anything. Again, thanks a ton!

2. Actually, you have shown the sidebar. The style you are using positions the sidebar into somewhat a "topbar". The area where there's a text "nobody said it was easy" etc. is the sidebar actually.

Ah. The original designer must've created the layout that way. No problems with that; however, there's still no Links or Calendar though I've enabled them. Is this a matter of the layout, then?

I'll double-check my settings just to be sure...

#sidebar_summary, #sidebar_tags, #sidebar_calendar, li.sbartitle {display:none;}

See?.. Delete anything you want to appear from this one, and you'll see these.
