Extra Spacing

Once again mods, totally a novice to this, so if I don't get the tagging right sorry in advance

So I notice with a couple of posts on my friends page that their entry is blank until I scroll all the way down (almost down to the bottom), then I see their entry. Also when I scroll I don't see the gray entry color, I actually see the background color.

question do you think IE is the reason when I scroll up in down the words in the entry disappears for a bit then reappears?

I already have this included in my code and it has returned. the entry almost takes up the entire friends page with just the extra space. Please help!
