SOLVED: Userpic, Date, and White Page

Dec 07, 2010 18:48

Community: stockcrazy
Account: plus
Layout: somewhere and nowhere

1.) I would like for the userpic to show, but whenever I delete the display: none  from the userpicfriends, the date gets moved over too much. So then I changed the padding for the userpic to 25px, but the date/time line stays centered instead of moving to the left. How do I fix this?

Wow! Thanks! It worked!

Well, everything except for #3. I changed it to no, but it still is on the white page.

Yes, I did press "save" after I set the drop-down menu to "no."

It turned out that the comm was on basic, and not plus for some reason. I totally missed that!

Thanks so much for your help! :D

3. I assume you mean you want to use your layout on entries and comments pages, in which case:

Go to http://www.livejournal.com/customize/options.bml and find the option 'Disable customized comment pages for your journal' and make sure the drop-down is set to 'no'. I'm not sure whether this feature is available to plus members.

On another note, re. this entry - as per community rules, please do not strike through items that have been solved. This is so that the text is readable for people looking for answers to a similar question.

The person above said the same thing. I already have it on "no," but the entries are still on the white page.

My bad. I didn't read that comment since I assumed that it pertained to that which you had struck out.

Upon checking your profile for the comm listed, it says it's a basic account, not a plus account. You cannot activate the feature in question at basic account level.

You can manage your account at http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/ - and select the comm from the 'work as user' drop-down and click 'switch'.

I never noticed that, since the comm was started by somebody else.

Thank you! It works now!
