That actually works perfectly thank you so much. I tried numerous other solutions including the one referenced in the other comment but they all made the table look like the example you provided Tab2 which I don't like or messed up my calendar.

It's already been asked and answered a couple of times in this community-- look under the entries:misc tag to see more. Basically, the Expressive base stylesheet removes table and cell borders by default. This entry has a pretty good custom CSS solution.
