I don't really provide support for "Mixit/Expressive" layouts made by third parties and implemented on Dreamwidth (not here, at least). The original layout already has the correct background image, so why are you trying to re-create it?
The original background is positioned absolutely and doesn't move. I'd like it to move, so I originally I just changed that part of the code.
But then I realized that the graphic would "run out" at the bottom, leaving only white space. So that's why I tried to find a way around it (by replacing it with a repeating graphic). Except now I'd also like to add another graphic on top.
Thank you for looking at it, though. I'm scanned through the whole CSS but I'm not very good with coding yet.
You can't put more than one background in the body element, but you could probably achieve the effect you want by putting the second image in the #container, #page, or #content elements.
