I realized the hard way Friday night after the show in Memphis that I've really outgrown Java Cabana--that I outgrew the place a year and a half ago.  It struck me that people weren't there because they were tired of cramming in.  Also, I really didn't give the show I wanted to give.  There wasn't room ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're experiencing the feeling of the Fire outgrowing its pit. May your Fire light the way for many, seekers, revelers, travelers of all sorts.

Thank you! Of course the nice thing about giving a blessing is that there are always more where that one came from.

I agree with Rainbowfairies; nature is a wonderful compliment to your joy! I don't know if there are jazz cafe's in Memphis, but in Boston, we have quite a few of them (and yes, the shows are not always jazz :-p ); they are smoke free, tho not necessarily noise free, often have either a nice stage or dance floor with plenty of room for silliness and a bustling crowd.

Also, what about places like museum gardens or atriums? They usually have wonderful acoustics and lots of room...
