YAY!!! A new ongoing SMAP-fanfic!!! I'm really happy now ^^
But to end the first chapter with such a cliffhanger...that wasn't a very nice thing to do XD
Actually, that's my first alternative universe fanfic, as normally I don't really like it if SMAP (or any other JE band for that) are not the people we know and love, but for some strange reason I found your story quite fascinating ^_^

I love the relation between Goro & Kimura (and their history together as that strongly reminds me of "Host Blues" ^^) and I nearly cracked up at the fact that Tsuyoshi is a Special investigator XD

I'm looking forward to new chapters!!

I'm honestly glad that the fic sat well with you. I do share your misgivings about AU fics, especially when it comes to characterizations (although this is kinda understandable, since people change in different situations :D). I've read some really amazing ones and I salute those authors who managed to keep the characters in-character even when the situations are so different. I'll do my best. Ganbarimasu! :D

I love all the nods to fiction and to reality - Tsuyoshi's "incident", Goro's Bar, Host Man Blues... and Shingo at the orphanage recalls "Engine", "Bara no nai Hanaya" and "Hito ni Yasashiku"...

One of my guilty pleasures with this fic: it is going to be a patchwork of the real SMAP life. :D As the plot gets going a little more, they'll probably decrease, but for now, I'm going to keep putting in reality/fiction nods. XD XD XD
