Madrigal

Nov 11, 2013 20:17

So, I came into this Madrigal event with no floon, thinking it would be my last event as a PC. But the event reminded me of all the things I really like about PCing Madrigal, and I was busier and more involved than I have been in the past, so yay! It also drove home to me that Vaedra is really not a good fit for the game, and I need to do some ( Read more... )

"Watching a BMV Frenzy bounce off the collective disdain of like a dozen Highborn."

Oh god - that was hysterical. I had this beautiful moment of disconnect where I had no clue why the PCs weren't taking the effect, and then....oh. Right. So I was watching the faces when it happened the second time, and oh, the disdain. The glorious, perfect disdain.

"Mmmm, Naporean political scheming. "

I may or may not have been waiting for Vaedra to meet Annabella Stefolare. SO happy it finally had a chance to happen. Yay!

Those 2 encounters were two of my favorite weekend highlights! And two of the things that made my Saturday morning/afternoon/early evening absolutely awesome.

I definitely feel that Vaedra and Lady Stefolare were speaking the same language. :) Ah, Naporean rapport!

It was pretty epic. But you were totally there in spirit!

Nooooo! No losing Vaedra. I love Vaedra. She brings such a wonderful addition to all the conversations she is in; cynical pragmatism for the win, to be sure.

Inquisition has the best meetings? Maybe you and I don't sit in the same Inquisition meetings. Oh wait! We did sit through one together. It was one of the "nice" meetings. You could join the Inquisition and sit in on all their meetings. All you have to do is be Ordained. That *can't* break any of Vaedra's rules, can it? And if things keep going the way they are, there may be an opening soon.

Well, there's "No weird religious stuff on me" and "no leadership positions"... and the little fact that Vaedra is extremely unlikely to be Ordained any time soon given that she's not religious. Details!

But yes, I'm not dumb enough to think that ALL their meetings are that much fun, either. ;) Still, out of all the Orders and such that Vaedra has heard of in game, it's probably the best match for a Paragon of Cynical Pragmatism!

Watching a BMV Frenzy bounce off the collective disdain of like a dozen Highborn.

That was pretty fantastic/hilarious.

As a Paragon of Cynical Pragmatism, I cannot stand by and allow people to do stupid things that will destroy the world.

I loved getting your explanation on this. :) Also watching your face as we attempted to explain Venesia to people.

Stephen is sitting next to me looking at me expectantly -- okay, I know I'm supposed to be talking to him about something sketchy, but OH GOD WHAT GAME IS THIS?!?! MADRIGAL! RIGHT!!! Okay, now I know who you are. Plan A is not actually relevant to this situation, you say? OKAY! Let me pull Plan B out of my @$$!

I might still be giggling evilly over the reversal, here...

What, was I the only one whose eyes lit up with joy?

As well you might! I'm kinda giggling, myself. :)

It was the particular flavor of joy that got me. From some of the others I saw excitement, a chance for mischeif... for you, it was like, "These are MY kind of people!"

The thought "Wow, the Inquisition has the best meetings! I wish I could hang out with them more!" ACTUALLY ENTERED MY HEAD before getting crossed out by my internal editor.

HAH! That was the most straightforward meetings ever. There's something to be said for the Inquisition's direct approach.

Paralyze by Wayfare... Hey, this fun mechanic is suddenly way more deadly when you're bleeding out, huh?

And then Vaedra and Sonia died. At least you rested off your Drain without serious incident?

Yeah, I only got disrupted once, by a spell from Wickford. You must have been losing your MIND.

I was so frustrated and frozen after not being able to move around to keep warm for 20 minutes that I thought about walking out of the fight.

I was warmed by the fires of my hate after getting disrupted the one time at 4:50. Clearly, you just need more hate. Must be because you were playing Sonia...

(Seriously, though, that sucks.)
