Please Help

As you may know, my cousin, Jen, lost her home in Hurricane Sandy. Her family had a night of terror when her house was flattened, with her 2 youngest boys trapped inside for a while. They're all OK now, but they lost their home, and they need help.

They're amazing, wonderful people -- Jen is an emergency room EMT, looks a lot like you'd imagine

Wow, that's awful. No insurance? It sounds from the article like they're safe with friends.

Is there anything immediate they need? I'm only 45 minutes away.

I have no idea yet what the insurance situation is -- I'm still finding out details about what exactly happened. Thank you so much for offering immediate help -- we have a large and very supportive family centered around Norwalk, so she probably has lots of people poised and ready to help out in the immediate area already, but I'll let you know if I hear of anything. I've been trying to find out more details -- I don't even know how exactly my little cousins (Ben & Blake) were hurt, other than that they're "OK now." Communication is a little tricky... I'm hoping to know more soon!

I would be happy to throw money at the problem, but am a little confusled by the wording on the post. Is there a Paypal account we can just kick money to, or an Amazon list that people have avail themselves of? I am worried about randomly coming up with "something for auction"...

Yeah, I contacted the organizer asking for more info myself, for similar confusion reasons. Will update when I know.
