Comments: How long as it been since I've last written a fic...? Also...I've been noticing the emphasis on my theme, which is too much. XDDD Well, I hope my writing ability isn't lagging.
Leaning back against the small cushions besides a large ajar windowsill in his bedroom, Ruki smiled softly as a breeze blew by gently, ruffling his blonde locks before disappearing. This was one of the moments he savored during the days in Autumn.
Every evening, around 7 pm, he would head up towards his room from watching his usual television series, pushed the windows open and enjoyed watching the sun until it sets across the distance. Sometimes he would sit there for hours, simply because of the cool breeze.
The wind usually calmed his nerves after events such as practice. It’s kind of funny…this type of thing doesn’t usually affect him as it did in this season. The weather, perhaps?
Twisting his head lightly, Ruki glanced over to the small black digital clock sitting on the polished, wooden drawer.
7:45 pm.
He turned towards the window once again. The sun was sitting just above the horizon, the soft reddish glow hung lightly against the sky and patches of cloud. The dark colors of blue and purple began to spread. Night was about to come.
Another breeze passed by. Then came a warm hand lying against his cool bare arm.
Craning his head over to the intruder, Ruki grinned. “Hey.”
“Hey, yourself. Watching the sunset again?” The other man raised a brow in mirth.
Rolling his eyes, he replied sarcastically, “No, Reita, I’m watching cows fly over the moon. Oh wait, it’s the sun. I’m watching cows jumping over the sun. And waiting to see if pigs fly.”
“Hmm, then I can safely say you’re more crazy than I thought. Why did I ever take you for a boyfriend?”
The shorter man snorted inaudibly. “I dunno. Maybe you’re even more crazy to have taken me for a boyfriend.”
Reita smirked lightly. “I suppose that’s true…maybe I should’ve taken someone else for a boyfriend…”
“When hell freezes over, perhaps?” was the what seemed to be hopeful reply.
“…No comment.” The taller man leaned forward and folded his arms over Ruki’s thighs. “The wind feels nice here…”
Smiling softly, the younger man turned back to the scenery, which was now engulfed in darkness. The lamp posts were the only source of light around the area. “Yeah, it is. We’re at the seventh floor of the apartment building after all.”
Heaving a deep breath as another breeze flew by, Reita exhaled slowly through his mouth and cocked his head against the other man’s chest. “In other words, this is the best place to relax and watch the scenery. Also, since this is your bedroom, watching the view from the bed won’t be a problem.”
The vocalist raised a brow in mild astonishment. “Is that an invitation I hear? You wanna make out?”
Closing his eyes, the older man the tilted his head over to his arms. “Hm…too early. I’d like to take a short nap on your lap if you don’t mind.”
Ruki gazed down to the other man before running his blond hair with a hand. He smiled affectionately. Only times like these was when Reita would show any of his soft side, his cuddly, affectionate side. And lucky for him, he was the only one who had seen that side. Every other times, the bassist would behave in a calm, collected manner…sometimes goofy, sometimes whiny but never in a expressive manner.
“Rei-chan?”
“…Hmmm?”
“Go to bed. You’ll catch cold.”
Reita lifted his head up to frown at the younger man. “But, mother, you’ve been sitting here much longer than I have. You’d be the one catching a cold if you don’t go to bed.”
Ruki rolled his eyes. “I’m only sitting here because the wind keeps me cool, the night view is great, and since you’re on my lap, I can’t move.”
Sighing to himself, the bassist stood up from his comfortable position and strode towards the closet. Sliding the door open, he then drew out a thin cotton red blanket and headed back to the sitting figure.
With one hand on his hips, Reita said, “Stand up.”
“Hmmm?” The short man jutted his lower lip forward into a small pout. “Why?”
“Just stand up.” was the short reply.
“…Hmph.” Ruki stood up and crossed his arms, meeting the other man’s eyes in expectance. Reita grinned before reaching forward for a kiss. Just when the vocalist was about to respond, he broke the kiss and sat on Ruki’s former seat by the windowsill.
He then spread his legs apart and gestured the younger man to sit in front of him. Ruki grinned widely before complying. Once seated, the bassist covered them with the blanket. “I’d say this is much better, ne?”
Leaning back against Reita’s chest, the vocalist nodded once and closed his eyes. “Yep,…it is. And I think I'll take my nap here. Wake me up in the morning, got it?”
"Yeah, yeah..."
Turning towards the window once more, Ruki smiled. The wind was picking up again. What a way to end the day.
Teh End. <3
