Walking between rows of building and pack full of ongoing passersby had filled Takanori’s mind with wonder and curiosity. He gazed around, eyes widened at all the shops.

Wow…I’ve never been in a place like this before! There’s so many things here! And so many people too! he thought as he trotted like an inquisitive little child towards the glass frames of a bakery. Wow! These looked so pretty! What lovely decorations!

Turning towards the next shop, he then gazed over to the bracelets and accessories. These are so shiny…oh, I know that one…that’s called a “watch”.

He took a glance at almost every shop, his curiosity grew wider with every passing moment.

Although a few people were staring at him with strange looks, the blonde had taken no notice of it. In fact, he was completely oblivious to their stares.

Just as he was about to head to another shop, an airy voice echoed to him, “And just how long are you going to sight see? Hmmm??”

It was then followed by another. “Yeah, I thought you were more excited about meeting Reita than staring at all those things humans sell. Come on, Takanori, have you forgotten?”

Urk! Takanori halted in mid-step. “I-I…I got sidetracked!”

“Ah, ah, ah, Takanori. It’s rude to shout when humans can’t hear us. I suppose that got attention to those humans around you?”

Upon hearing this statement caused the blonde to look around. There were indeed people watching him. Laughing nervously, he scratched his head and said, “Uh,…it’s nothing. Ha ha….ha….”

People around him then peered away and headed on to their daily lives. He sighed inaudibly. Kai,…Uruha,…please stop doing that. It’s almost as if you guys are trying to make me fail the test.

He then stared up with widened eyes. You’re not…right?

“Why would you think that? We’re not going to interfere with your test. We’re merely observing to see how well you’re going to do with this.” Kai answered thoughtfully.

“We’re offended. How could you think of us that way?” Uruha asked, almost feigning hurt.

…Nevermind. Can you just direct me to the college? Takanori asked in thought.

“Like I said, Takanori…we’re not going to interfere with your test. In any way.”

The blonde pouted. Fine then. I’ll look for it myself.

“Have fun.” Uruha replied cheerfully.

He grumbled and headed on.

After a few minutes, he paused. He wouldn’t know how to get there without direction so…what to do? What to do…hmm…

An idea suddenly popped up in his mind. Oh, right! I should ask for direction.

Takanori then asked a woman passing by, “Excuse me, but would you happen to know where a college be located at?”

“Oh? A college, you say? The only one here is Tokyo University and it is located nearby…” She pointed to the right. “towards there. It’s a couple blocks away to your right but you wouldn’t miss it since the size of the university is enormous. I hope that helps.”

The blonde smiled and bowed. “Yes, very much. Thank you.”

Yes! Now I can find Reita! He trotted in excitement.

--

“Wow…” Takanori stared in awe. “That certainly is an enormous school.”

The university was so easily spotted that as he looked up a couple blocks away, he saw a sign in gold letters that said, “Tokyo University”. (He was going downhill.)

He noticed people carrying bags and books as they walked in and out of the school. Was he supposed to do the same? He wasn’t sure.

Shrugging slightly, he headed in.

Taking a glimpse of the entire area, Takanori then thought to himself. T-This school is too big! How am I going to find Reita?

He walked around, confusion written all over his face. I think I’m lost and I’ve only been here for about two minutes and eighteen seconds.

Suddenly, he bumped into another person.

“Ah! I’m so sorry!” The blond-haired man apologized as he bowed several times.

The other person, a man with ebony-colored hair, gave a small chuckle and waved his hand. “Hey, it’s okay. You don’t need to apologize or anything.”

“I…don’t?” Takanori asked, glancing upwards to meet the other. Tilting his head to the side, he spotted a black ring punctured into his lower lip. Doesn’t that hurt?

“Of course not. It was just a small bump. No big deal.” he answered with a smile.

“Oh…I see…”

“Ah…I like to know…are you new here?”

The blonde nodded profusely. “Yes, and I’m afraid I don’t know my way around…”

“Well then,” the other grinned. “You’re just in luck. Why not come along with me? It’s better than getting lost.”

“That’d be so nice! Thank you!” Takanori replied with a wide smile.

“Oh, by the way, my name’s Aoi. Well, it’s actually Shiroyama Yuu but I preferred the name Aoi. And you are?”

“I’m…Ta-“ He was then interrupted by another person.

“Aoi! I thought you were heading towards the bookstore. What are you doing here?”

Takanori turned to see a man with blond hair and a…strip of cloth over his nose?

Aoi gave a small wave. “Hey, Reita. I just bumped into a new student.”

The blonde widened his eyes in surprise. Reita? That’s Reita? It’s really him…I-I’ve found him! Argh! Must try...to resist...not to jump him!....

“Really?” Reita shifted his gaze over to Takanori and smiled. “Hi,…I’m Suzuki Reita. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”

“Oh! I, uh, I…” he began to stutter. “I’m Ta…Ruki…”

“Taruki?” Aoi and Reita asked in unison.

“No! No, it’s…Ruki.” Takanori finalized. Well, I guess I’m Ruki now…

“Okay…Ruki.” Aoi smiled once again. “Would you like to come with us to the bookstore?”

“I-I’d love to!” he answered, still stuttering.

“Come on, then. We need to hurry before class starts.” Reita said.

“Okay!” He trotted along besides the two.
