So at the end of all my bitching about not being treated as an actual employee, I really don't know how I feel about working here. I have really mixed feelings over being told by my boss that my last day will be the 20th and that will be my last day for probably at least a year. Apparently there's a policy on the books that a temp can't work more

Turns out it was my boss's boss. Who was not offended, but was worried that someone would be, since I'm a temp and technically it's not my desk.

Hmph. The only ones would would be offended, I should think, would be either Category A (who need to learn what sarcasm is) or Category B (who deserve it many times over).

To be fair, the hiring freeze was only ordered, like, a week or two ago.

I feel really bad for the Reserves staff-- they're not hiring a new supervisor, the guy I'm filling in for may or may not be back in a reasonable amount of time, and the dude who's been around forever is cutting back to half-time.
