A few of you might remember about a month ago I posted a poll asking which panel topics I should apply to run at Yaoicon. I ended up bidding five, and entirely expecting for one or more to be rejected. None of them were ( Read more... )

I find it sort of funny how big a hit the doll was when she was suposed to be a direct commentary on the fact that dollfies have eyes that are so big they scare me.

Well I'm all about welcoming all sorts of dolls. In our doll group we have non-resin dolls, and such. There is an 'elitism' in the community expecially in regards to one brand, and my friends are against that so we are on the other side that we scorn that one brand and welcome everything. And I thought it was cute, even if you were trying to make fun of us. :P

I'm doing 'Foods Corrupted by Yaoi' as always. A Harry Potter panel, 'Harry Potter the End is here.' And a music video panel that will show non-anime yaoi videos. Which I still have to find.

Well, yes, but the Little Apple Dols are BJDs at all. She doesn't really count, you know. And I wasn't trying to make fun of YOU, per se. More my discomfort with dollfies in general.

Well, here's hoping I make it to one of your panels for once.

Well, darn. I was going to ask you to help me out with that one-- it's not actually about Dollfies. It's supposed to be about hobbies that can absorb you to the point of obsession. Although I'm not sure that's what people will expect when they see the title... :D

Which ones do you think look interesting enough to help out with?

You know I'm all on board for the F_W (but do I qualify considering that I uh, don't have a journalfen account yet?) as well as the Misogyny one. I forget what club denial is about, and I'd be forced to sit on my hands about LJ as a runner, so that one I'd rather just watch.

Pfft, I'm a lurker on JF, anyway. I'm so hoping she schedules that one during a quiet period, though (personally, I wouldn't mind it being opposite the auction.) Club Denial is a panel on "why did THEY have to die? The series would have been so much better if only they'd survived!" Like Superboy. Or Hughes.

:D I'm glad y'all think they're good panel ideas. Now I just have to hope they come off as well as they sound on paper.

What SORT of help...? I could, um, toss in My Thoughts On Yaoi/Internalized misogyny/etc at.. one point or another.

(Also, could I possibly just email you the survey form? I'm at my friend's place in SD and the net connection is balls, and I don't trust it enough to stay connected through a full IM interview T_T)

I'll hand out fliers for your panel! ..I don't know if that's par for the course, but I'll totally do it! Also, am always up for discussion on this sort of thing ^_^
