From the way the spoilers on SpoilerFix described it, I was always under the impression that the new girls would be a team in the same vein as Sam and Dean, wasn't aware we'd be getting two separate threads, not that I mind. They're both made of awesome and win.

I was never under the impression that they'd have one storyline for both girls. It wouldn't do the girls justice.
They are indeed made of win and awesome, though. (People are disliking Bela for pulling fast ones on Dean-- dude, she's so awesome. I don't need my main characters to be the bestest EVER so long as they do get their licks in. Which they did.)
