I've read fic that was completely Mary Sue, and yet was well-crafted and entertaining. So that by itself is not a sufficient condition for bad!fic.

Although, granted, *most* Mary Sue is really really bad.

Mostly, if it looks like it was written by an illiterate pre-teen, I'm going to cringe. Thankfully, I seem to be immune to the bad!fic form of TWS. It's completely *painful* for me to read stuff like that. I think mostly because my mom *teaches* English, so I tend to have high standards.

Heh. My favorite bad!fic are the ones with passable grammar. If I can't read it, I won't. But if I CAN? It pings my TWS something awful.

But yeah, an OC is not an indicator of bad!fic. Just mostly one.
