Persona MUSH opened recently. You'd really have to think a lot more about your character than 'generic RPG hero' since it is a modern day theme, but... Mitsuo Kubo is open for applications. :D

Using whatever telnet-like client you may have used to try and get on other MUSHes, hit up rpg-works.net, port 2012.
