I'm working on a new fic. Yes, I realize I'm already doing two long-running series and I don't update them enough. But... Just a comment about not being able to be 14 in the 7th grade - not true. Depends on where in the year your birthday hits. Lots of elementary schools encourage late birthdays, especially for boys since the "general consensus" is that boys aren't as mature as girls and to help them with sports later on, to hold off on starting Kindergarten until they are 6 years old. We were strongly urged to hold son back until he was 6 to start school. My son has an early February birthday, which I don't consider early in the year. We did not, but as a result he is one of the youngest boys in his classes. He's 17 and a Junior in High School.

So if you start Kindergarten at age 6 and your birthday occurs during the year you can be 14 in the 7th grade. I can see Jack holding Brian back with the hopes of a jock but Joan may have wanted to send him right away just to get rid of him. Your story, you decide. I'm looking forward to it.

When do we get to read this awesome new story? I love teenage Brian. I love teenage Brian defending Michael and being a soccer star and having every girl and half the boys be in love with him.
