The reason I like Christmas is that around my part of New York, everything seems to turn into a fairy tale land at Christmas. I go into Woodstock for Christmas Eve every year and there are carolers and thousands of people around to watch Santa come to Woodstock and then he sticks around and gives out stockings to all the kids who line up and also does charity by giving dinner baskets to many families in need and cheer baskets to the elderly and sick. Also, all of this is done through thousands of dollars in donations and the collaboration of many people. Afterward, I can go shopping at some of the stores and in a lot of them they give out free food.
I don't like the commercialism that a lot of people do, but I do like the way it and the holidays make people happier and encourages them to give more than receive.
