I don't know how other countries do elementary and middle school, but in America, elementary school is like...grade 1 to grade 5, and then middle school is grade 6 to grade 8.

I hope that makes sense. ^_^

Yeah, that make sense >_<
I wasn't sure, but it's a biut similar here;
elementary sounds like our primary school, which includes nursery school to 6th grade, then it's high school (=secondary school) which is secondary 1 to 5 (so it's like grade 7 to 11?).
So, middle school is like the beganning of our secondary school.

You could stick our nursery schools into elementary school (preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten) if you wish. I think that elementary school kind of officially starts here at grade 1.

The American school system is weird, though, so I'm sure it varies as you go across the country...O_o
