First of all, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear Sherri, happy birthday to you!! Sherri is already 16, yay! You are going to be older than me for only 2 months, anyway. xP

And of course, wonderful, sweet Shoon. I have subbed a clip for him but it is going to take a long time to upload so here is my first pressie. Will edit this post later to add the clip! ^^

Here - Another Pressie

Title : Late Birthday Present
Author :ryo_anne
Pairing : YamaBu
Rating : Completely safe.
Summary :  Yabu has never failed in wishing Shoon happy birthday. But on his 21st birthday, Shoon didn't receive any call or mails from his former band mate. But Yabu seemed to have something in store to surprise Shoon just before his birthday ends.

Shoon glanced at the clock on the table. It was already 11.50 p.m. Ten minutes more, and his birthday would be over. No phone calls, no message, no nothing; what had gotten into him? Surely he had not forgotten? He could not have; it was impossible for many reasons.

Shoon sighed. He had been celebrated, yes. His college friends had brought him to karaoke and treated him lunch. He had got mails from Fujigaya, Sanada, Totsu, Hikaru, Taiyou and even Keito. He had just left the small feast prepared by his family with presents from them. But no mail, no call, no present from Yabu at all. No way, he thought. He wouldn't forget. Hikaru remembers. ...If he does forget,  this sure is the worst birthday ever...

A knock on the door and Reon appeared. Shoon immediately drew a smile, though it was only a small, forced one.

"It's late, Reon, You should go to sleep now." he said gently to his brother.

Reon smiled and handed his brother a letter. "I am going to sleep now. Here, Yabu-kun gave it to me during the last Shounen Club recording. He told me to give it to you 5 minutes before your birthday ends."

Shoon took the letter and stared at it for a while. Yabu never wrote him a letter. Well, he was pretty sure Yabu never wrote anyone a letter. But he knew Reon was not pulling his legs; he was not that kind of little brother.

"Thanks, Reon. Good night." He bade his brother, smiling. "Night, big brother." Reon replied, closing the door behind him. Slowly, Shoon opened the letter.

Dear Shoon…
HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY!!!

You must be thinking that I’ve forgotten your birthday, right? There’s no way I would forget; not after these 7 years! Blimey, it has been 7 years? And you are already 21… time sure has flown, hasn’t it? It feels like only yesterday we appeared in Music Station with SMAP. It feels like only yesterday Hikaru had joined us. It feels like yesterday we played sort of leaders among the juniors. It feels like yesterday we composed Te wo Tsunaide Yukou together. It feels like yesterday, too, you told me it was okay to debut without you. And now, you are already 21? Time sure is making fool of us, Shoon.

I know it’s so cheesy to write a letter when we are both guys, right? Well, I suppose this is the only way I could say this without getting laughed by you; I’m glad I met you. I’m glad to be in Ya-Ya-yah. I’m glad you are here with me all the time. See, I wouldn’t be able to say this on phone, let alone say it to you face-to-face! Don’t ever tell this to Hikaru, he will laugh at me forever.

Happy birthday, anyway, Shoon. When I turn 20, let’s go for a drink together! Come and watch my play, you have promised!

Yabu

p.s. Reon-chan said you have a new girl friend; you didn’t tell me! What happened with the previous one? When the play is over, I’ll make you tell me everything!

Shoon folded the letter back and smiled. Yabu and his subtlety... Perhaps, perhaps this was not his worst birthday, after all.

I made it on time, I think. Gosh!
