Huh. Well that's annoyingly accurate. I've obviously lived in Chicago too long, and need to move. There was a time when I had much more of a southern slant to my accent. (Not surprising given one parent was born in Kentucky and the other in Tennessee.)

"Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak."
