I have to read the first half of Great Expectations...sometime before Monday. Gah. I "read" (for a given value of read, meaning a few chapters here and there) it my senior year of high school and didn't like what I read, so I've been putting it off and putting it off. But I'm going to actually try and read it this time

I had a whole class on Faust part I and II by Goethe. Part 1 is okay, but part 2 is like Goethe's personal acid trip. I hated this class so much, I don't even remember if I finished it, even though it was held by one of my favorite professors (the one I wrote my thesis at).

I definitely haven't read the Goethe version, though I want to at some point. Marlowe, at least, was quick and easy.
