What books are you comparing? Obviously you'll kick butt on the papers, but I hope they get fun to write soon. :) Oh, and I hear you on long sentences - my problem has always been long paragraphs, and it took me forever to start to get them shorter.
Rolling the R's by R. Zamora Linmark, and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. Both of those books are absolutely loaded with allusions and I want to talk about that, but I'm having difficulty relating the allusions to each other, or whatever else I can do. *sigh*
Aww, thanks. *hugs back* No worries, though--this isn't a big deal. I just wanted to rant a bit. This is hardly the first time I've had difficulty with a concrete topic for a lit paper, and I know eventually I'll figure something out.
I know how it feels to dodge work though. I should be preparing for an exam on Tuesday and a 1,000 word assignment for Monday. Have I done anything towards either of them? Have I heck :P
*hugs back* Isn't school just the best thing ever? XD
I've got some vague ideas now. I'm just not sure whether I should focus on those ideas, or do something else and let the ideas come on their own. Letting ideas come is something that's actually worked well for me in the past, but I'm not sure if I'm just trying to justify procrastinating. :p
