So over the past six months or so, I've betad shinyopals's DW fic and blithely pointed out every time she had the Doctor say "There's [something plural]", on the theory that the Doctor would be correct, dammit! He's even canonically corrected someone else's spoken grammar

Ha, every time I watch New Earth that moment throws me off a little bit... I wonder whether it's from the actual script or just a mistake on DT's part? Either way, proves the show is only human. :P

(And now I'm thinking there really should be fic where the Doctor corrects Jackie's grammar one too many times and she shoves him in a closet.)

It'd make things easier if he only lost his grip on proper grammar when he goes all shouty. Then I can tell Opal that in ordinary circumstances he'd use proper grammar. XD

I bet the Doctor overuses commas in his written work.

Also, I bet he tries to put in all kinds of silly adverbs and descriptions instead of just getting to the point. That would probably drive ME crazy. XD

Can I just add a LOOOOOOOOOL to the thought of the Doctor's written work ? Both his serious essays on the comedic value of 20th-century quantum mechanics and his Stargate SG-1 fanfiction ? BECAUSE DON'T DENY IT, IT EXISTS.
